About Kipleigh Brown
A captured thought, a story, a lifetime... another world. My artwork starts with a shutter click - a moment plucked out of time. Each of my pieces uses an original photograph as a foundation upon which to build. The final image is the result of a varied and ever-changing process. I love to experiment. Sometimes I blend the base image with other original photos. Often I paint over parts of the original (physically and/or digitally). I've also used digital renderings of original sketches and sculptures as building blocks in the creation of several of my works. Many times the final image is new unto itself and bares little resemblance to the original. It is my sincere hope that my work speaks to you; that within it you find a story, a connection... your own slice of time.
